Today on Facebook somebody joined the group “1 out of 3 teenagers get STD’s. Join if you think dinosaurs are cool.” And I became very confused. Now, I am aware of several other of these meme-type things; one being something like “90% of Teens do drugs. Join if you like waffles.” And if a person joined that group, that would indirectly imply that they are part of that 90% of teens, correct? So back to the STD/dinosaur group: If joined, that would imply that the person that joined the group DOES have an STD? I’m not entirely sure about this, I may not completely understand, but it is facepalm-worthy nonetheless because the group is just stupid, weather i understand it or not.
