You've been twaxed!

I suppose you could say it is one of the down sides of social networking, but one website would say it is the upside, the funny side. We’ve all seen it before, someone writes something stupid, confessional and/or highly embarrassing on a social networking site such as facebook or twitter and it ends up in the public domain with everyone talking about it. Twaxed.com is a site that sources and shares the funniest and often most embarrassing tweets in a twitter-like feed on their website. The tweets they circulate range from the outrageous: (”A woman broke up with me and sent me pictures of her and her new boyfriend in bed together. Solution?? I sent them to her dad”) to the witty and observational: (”I’m at the point where Facebook is suggesting people who once sat 3 stalls down from me in restrooms in 1992.”)

Twaxed.com goes to show that unlike Facebook, the majority of Twitter accounts are in the public domain and it only takes one search of certain key words to find the more profane tweets. It serves a reminder to Twitter users that their potential employers only need to do a little searching to find out their future employees opinions on a range of topics. Twaxed is, on the other hand, a hilarious time killer, check it out and you must be strange if you don’t have a little chuckle but next time you think you need to share with the world something like (”At a cemetery, looking for my name on tombstones. This is the Goth version of Googling yourself.”) you might get a tweet from twaxed saying “Beware what you share. You just got #twaxed“
